How to get started with Avance® Solo

The process of setting up and using Avance® Solo is straightforward and intuitive. Learn how to assemble the system, apply the dressing, start therapy, and perform various operational procedures.

 

How to respond to different alarms

Avance® Solo displays visual signals and emits audible alarms to inform you of normal operations and errors. Discover how to deal with potential causes of blockage and leakage alarms, as well as how Avance® Solo alerts you to the end of therapy or an internal failure.

How to change the canister

A blockage alarm may indicate that the Avance® Solo 50 mL canister is full and needs to be changed. You can confirm that the canister is full by inspecting the fill level through the window on the back of the canister. Follow the procedure in this video to safely remove the full canister and attach a new one.

 

How to shower while using Avance® Solo

Patients using Avance® Solo are free to have light showers provided the pump with canister is disconnected and the dressing is not subjected to jets of water. Learn what procedure needs to be followed to avoid damaging the system and interrupting therapy.
