How to change the canister
A blockage alarm may indicate that the Avance® Solo 50 mL canister is full and needs to be changed. You can confirm that the canister is full by inspecting the fill level through the window on the back of the canister. Follow the procedure in this video to safely remove the full canister and attach a new one.
How to shower while using Avance® Solo
Patients using Avance® Solo are free to have light showers provided the pump with canister is disconnected and the dressing is not subjected to jets of water. Learn what procedure needs to be followed to avoid damaging the system and interrupting therapy.
